The birth of this mosaic around my fireplace started 30 years ago, I got into the habit of collecting bits and pieces from every country that we had ever visited. I have always wanted to mosaic an area that depicted all the countries in the World, the fire place was ideal.
It became a trip down memory lane whilst working on this large design. It was also very cathartic making it during Covid because travelling was a past memory.
