This piece was commissioned with the goal of disguising renovations completed to the clients home. They had recently built on to the house and wished to disguise the features that made this obvious.
The wall and the fireplace were completed to break the space between the old and new room. Making the old features stand out as artworks and highlighting the entrance to this area. The built space was well illuminated so the piece came to life in the evenings with lights breathing life into the mosaics.
The colours strengthen the room’s tone range and create a unity between the spaces.
